Aishwarya Rai to do an item number in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela?

Her last big-screen appearance was in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish in 2010, now Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will probably do an item number in Bhansali's next.

The buzz is that filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali approached Aishwarya for a special dance number in his next movie, 'Ram Leela' starring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.

According to reports, Sanjay is keen on having Aishwarya on board and she is considering it.

Aishwarya and Bhansali have previously worked together in films such as Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), Devdas (2012) and Guzaarish (2010).

The actor is believed to be getting several offers for films from directors including Karan Johar and Sriram Raghavan.

A doting mother to her two-year old daughter Aaradhya, Aishwarya is taking her sweet time for the comeback. Whether she will take Bhansali's offer is yet to be seen.

Legendary Bollywood Actor Pran's died last Friday evening leaving Bollywood celebrities nostalgic. Some remembered his iconic villain roles, while some recollected his popular dialogues and songs, and there were others who shared what a "heart of gold" the "gentleman" had.

Pran, whose real name was Pran Kishan Sikand, was 93. He died at the Lilavati Hospital at 8:30 p.m., his son said.

Following the news of his death, a flurry of Bollywood celebrities - both old and new, took to twitter to share their fondest memories of the actor, who made an endearing impact on his fans as a hero, villain and a character actor in a filmography of over 400 movies across a career spanning six decades.

Raanjhanna is a Romantic love story that does not fall within the confines of a dull Bollywood Romance.

A good show from everyone in the film and Dhanush projects excellence whenever he appears on the screen. Dhanush has got all the eyes of the watcher as a romantic hero in his Hindi debut and not with the look of a Bollywood Hero. Sonam Kapoor seems to have bettered her acting skills and she looks quite convincing before and after interval.

The dialogues have been sketched down soundly. Dialogues are convincing making the characters of the movie impressionable.  

A.R. Rahman's soundtrack is music to the ears and the film is rightly filled with song and dance sequences. The ones that are truly likeable are 'Piya Milenge', 'Tum Tak', the title track and 'Tu Mun Shudi,' which, by the way, is quite similar to 'Dhakka Laga Bukka' from Mani Ratnam's 'Yuva'.

Be it for its technical pros or for Dhanush's Bollywood debut, 'Raanjhanaa' makes for a good watch this weekend.

 Bollywood Actress Priyanka Chopra resumed her fitness training, 48 hours after her father Ashok Chopra passed away.

Priyanka Chopra is known for her professionalism and she has proved it again. The actress was apparently disturbed at his father funeral and prayer meet. But some source says that on Wednesday evening, Priyanka was back to work, resuming her training for her upcoming movie Mary Kom Biopic.

A source close to PC says, “Priyanka is going through the roughest phase in her life after her father passed away. She was extremely close to her dad. But her work comes first and on Wednesday evening, she was back at Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Juhu office to work out with Olympic trainer Dr Christy Halbert.”

Another source said that, “When Priyanka’s father was unwell, Bhansali told her that the shooting of the Mary Kom biopic can wait. Then, three days ago, they spoke and Priyanka expressed her desire to resume work. Bhansali once again told her that there was no hurry. But she said her dad would have wanted her to work, so she would like to do so and is ready to start shooting for the film. That’s when Bhansali agreed and locked June 17 as the day for the mahurat shot.”

Spokesperson of Bhansali confirmed that by saying, “The shoot will start on Monday (today). Priyanka is resuming work now, even though Mr Bhansali asked her to take her time.”

 Jiah’s mother, Rabia Khan, states that she is getting calls from Bollywood celebrities to drop the charges agains Suraj Pancholi, who has been arrested for abetting Jiah Suicide.

Rabia also claims that she is shocked by this, rather than getting support for her daughter justice some big shots of Bollywood are asking her withdraw the complaint against Aditya Pancholi son. However she has insisted that she is adamant and will not withdraw the complaint against Suraj.

 Suraj, son of actor couple Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, was yesterday arrested after being booked under IPC Section 306 for allegedly abetting Jiah's suicide.

Seeking his custody, police told the court that they have recovered five love letters exchanged between Suraj and Jiah and they wanted to verify the contents.

Public Prosecutor A.K. Pacharane said that the CCTV footage of the hotel and house has been recovered and also added that there were serious allegations of threat, assault and rape against Suraj.

In the remand application the prosecution sector said that a distressed Jiah had aborted their baby and this aspect too needed to be probed.

Accepting the arguments, Magistrate remanded Suraj in police custody till June 13 rejecting his lawyer Zameer Khan’s contention saying that the Jiah note did not name Suraj and was not signed by her.

Defense counsel said that the note was found after three days after Jiah death and not immediately.

Zameer Khan also claimed that 21 year old Suraj could not have given any commitment to 25 year old Jiah during their short term relationship of just 6 to 8 months.

"Jiah was obsessive and possessive...it does not mean Suraj should be pinned," he said.

He also mentioned that the actress was a troubled child and was in depression for many years.

The defence told the court that statements of 23 witnesses have been recorded and gadgets of Suraj have already been impounded by police.

Suraj Pancholi, Jiah Khan Boyfriend to be in police custody till tomorrow.

Police has found five love letters that has been exchanged between Jiah Khan and Suraj Pancholi in a search operation that was held at the latter’s residence on Tuesday. The police have also discovered some medical documents from Jiah’s house. Now, the police at their fast in verifying the documents.

In the meantime, Andheri Metropolitan court has remanded Pancholi in Police custody till June 13.

Additional commissioner of Police, Vishwas Nangre Patil said that, ““We have lodged a case and arrested Pancholi on the charge of abetment suicide considering Jiah‘s mother Rabiya’s statement and the six-page suicide note written by the actor. We are verifying the letter with the help of handwriting and forensic experts.”

A police official also said that, “We are checking with the hospital where she had taken medical treatment and trying to find out about her abortion.” Police department is investing more on the words like rape, assault, torture, cheating and abortion and they are not going to leave any stone unturned to get to the bottom of the case.

Rabiya claimed that Suraj and Jiah were in a live-in relationship for the past one year and alleged that Suraj must have assaulted her as was evident by the bruises on her chin and neck.

“We are verifying whether Suraj assaulted her or not. We are waiting for the post mortem and forensic reports which may throw light on the fact. Rabiya also claimed Suraj had promised Jiah that he would marry her,” said another officer. “We are also trying to figure out whether Suraj had actually hit Jiah on the day of the incident and whether she was upset after Suraj sent her a ‘break-up bouquet’ in the evening,”

“We are questioning Suraj’s servant Deva and several other people to know about their relationship,” the officer added. 

However, till now, the police have not checked the messages in Jiah’s two mobile phones as they have not been able to crack the password. “The messages will help us to get more information about them. We have engaged experts to open the boxes,” he added.

Bollywood Actresses Priyanka Chopra father Ashok Chopra who lost his breath last Monday afternoon was immolated on Monday evening at Oshiwara crematorium.

Bollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Parineeti Chopra, Karan Johar, Madhur Bhandarkar, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Punit Malhotra, Anurag Basu, Ramesh Taurani, Arjan Bajwa - attended the cremation and showed their respect to army retired Ashok Chopra.

Last rites of Ashok Chopra took place between 5.30 p.m. and 6.00 p.m.

Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor reached Kokilaben Hospital after hearing of Ashok Chopra's demise and were with Priyanka and her family when the body was taken to her residence.
